Michael and Michael’s story began nearly two decades ago through a business venture connected to a network marketing company called 5Linx. While their paths first crossed through business, their first in-person meeting would become a moment neither of them would ever forget.

That meeting took place in Memphis, Tennessee, during a time when Michael J was stepping out of a difficult chapter in his life and preparing for something new. Not long after, he would travel to Philadelphia for another business opportunity with Organo Gold — a decision that would unknowingly shape the rest of his life.

​

Michael J remembers the moment vividly. When Michael C arrived at the apartment where Michael J was staying with his uncle, Michael C stepped out of the car wearing a gray polo with navy blue trim along the collar. Michael C remembers looking up and seeing Michael J smiling and waving from the window in an orange Aeropostale shirt as he and his sister Trina walked toward the apartment.

It was a simple moment, but one that stayed with both of them.

​

Their first impressions of each other were immediate.

​

Michael J remembers thinking that Michael C was absolutely stunning, a feeling that has only grown stronger over time. But beyond his appearance, he admired Michael C’s intelligence, his devotion to family, and how easily they could talk and laugh about absolutely anything — everything, or even nothing at all.

​

In fact, Michael J says that from the moment they met in person, he had a quiet but powerful thought:

​

He knew he was going to marry him.

​

Michael C had a similar reaction when meeting Michael J. While he was immediately struck by how handsome he was, what impressed him most was Michael J’s character. Michael J was ambitious, compassionate, empathetic, and resilient — someone who had faced challenges in life but still carried a caring heart for everyone he meets.

​

For many years, the connection between them was undeniable. However, Michael C often approached the situation with wisdom and caution. Having experienced the challenges that can come when friendships turn into relationships, he sometimes said:

​

“I don’t think we should date because it could ruin our strong friendship.”

​

Even though the attraction between them was always present, their friendship remained the foundation of their connection.

Then life presented moments that changed everything.

​

In 2017, Michael C was working for Nutrisystem — a job he truly loved. But while helping clients improve their health, he began to realize that many people needed far more support than the system could provide. He wanted to help people on a deeper level.

​

Michael J saw that passion clearly and encouraged Michael C to take a leap of faith and build something of his own — a place where he could truly help people the way he believed they deserved.

​

That encouragement became the spark that eventually led to the creation of M.C Health & Wellness.

​

It was a frightening leap, but Michael J gave Michael C the words he needed to move forward with courage:

​

“As long as you follow Christ, I’ll follow you.”

​

Those words helped give Michael C the confidence to pursue the mission that would later grow into the company he leads today.

Years later, their bond would be tested in ways neither of them expected.

​

In 2021, Michael C began experiencing a series of sudden health issues that seemed to appear one after another. Watching someone he loved face those challenges made Michael J realize something he could no longer ignore — the thought of losing Michael C was unbearable.

​

Then in 2022, another life-changing moment occurred when Michael J was involved in a car accident. Michael J tried to call Michael C first but couldn’t reach him, so he called his mother, who quickly contacted Michael C. Together they rushed to the hospital to see him.

​

Even though they weren’t together at the time — and hospital staff would not allow Michael C into the back to see him — the emotional weight of that moment was undeniable.

​

The possibility of losing each other made something very clear.

​

After the accident, Michael and Michael finally decided to take the leap they had talked about for years.

In November of 2022, the two officially began their relationship as boyfriends.

​

Like any relationship between two strong and passionate people, the journey was not always a cakewalk. Both Michael and Michael are strong-willed individuals, and learning how to balance their personalities took patience, growth, and understanding.

​

But over time, that balance became something beautiful.

​

Their relationship grew stronger, deeper, and more intentional — ultimately leading to one unforgettable moment.

Michael C had actually been planning the proposal for years. Anyone who knows him understands that he didn’t want the moment to happen just anywhere — it had to be perfect.

​

The proposal took place in New York City, one of Michael J’s favorite places in the world. They traveled to Brooklyn, beneath the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, in front of the famous carousel featured in the show Glee — a show they both love.

​

Michael C had prepared a speech and music for the moment.

​

But in true real-life fashion… both malfunctioned.

​

And yet none of that mattered.

​

Standing there in that beautiful place, with the person he loved most in the world, Michael C asked the question that had been years in the making — and Michael J said yes.

​

The proposal in 2024 marked the beginning of their engagement, leading to the next chapter of their lives together.

​

Now, as they prepare for their wedding in May 2026, Michael and Michael are most excited about finally building the life they have dreamed about for years — creating a loving home, starting a family, pursuing new ventures together, investing in their future, and making a lifetime of unforgettable memories side by side.

​

If they had to describe their relationship in one sentence, it would be simple:

“It’s about damn time… but the wait was absolutely worth it.”
